Salvation is a gift from God. You can't earn it, and you can't lose it by having a bad day. When you put your faith in Jesus, who died for your sins and rose again, God forgives you, makes you new and gives you His Spirit to live in you.

Celebrate! Then take a few simple steps: tell someone (let us know through our form so a pastor can reach out), start reading the Bible with the Gospel of John, pray every day, get connected in a church family and take your next step of baptism.
Do I have to clean up my life first?
No. Salvation is a gift from God through faith in Jesus. You can’t earn it. God meets you where you are and changes you from the inside out over time, with the help of His Spirit and a church family.
Should I get baptized?
Yes. Baptism is your public declaration that you belong to Jesus. It doesn’t save you, but it celebrates what Jesus has done. At Love Church, everyone who gets baptized gets a free “From Death to Life Because of Love” shirt.
Where should I start reading the Bible?
Start with the Gospel of John, one chapter a day for 21 days. It introduces you to Jesus up close. Our How to Read the Bible page also has study Bible picks and a translation comparison.
Can I talk to a pastor?
Absolutely. Fill out the I Said Yes to Jesus form and choose coffee or a phone call. A pastor from Love Church San Diego will reach out personally.
